Canelo vs. GGG 2 undercard to feature Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan!

MIDDLEWEIGHT CONTENDERS GARY ‘SPIKE’ O’SULLIVAN AND DAVID LEMIEUX TO MEET IN SURE-FIRE CANDIDATE FOR FIGHT OF THE YEAR

 

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 AT T-MOBILE ARENA IN LAS VEGAS PRESENTED LIVE BY HBO PAY-PER-VIEW® 

 

 

 

 

 

Boston - Murphys Boxing is proud to announce that Spike O’Sullivan will be a feature fight in the Canelo vs. GGG mega fight card on Saturday September 15th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Irish warrior Gary “Spike” O’Sullivan (28-2, 20 KOs) of Cork, Ireland and Former IBF Middleweight World Champion David Lemieux (39-4, 33 KOs) of Montreal, Canada will go head-to-head in a 12-round middleweight battle that has Fight of the Year candidate written all over it. O’Sullivan vs. Lemieux will be a featured fight telecast Live on the HBO PPV portion of the evening.

 

“This fight is just another step towards fulfilling my ambition of becoming a world champion and providing a good life for my family!” said Gary O’Sullivan. “David Lemieux is just an object in my way that I fully intend smashing through! Then, I want Canelo or GGG—either one, it doesn't matter! I'm going to war!”

 

“I’m looking forward to fighting ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan next,” said David Lemieux. “I have some unfinished business at 160. We're going to take one fight at a time. Spike is an action fighter, like me. He's a tough cookie and comes to fight. This is a fight for the fans. Come September 15th, I want to steal the show.”

 

Lemieux vs. O’Sullivan is a 12-round middleweight clash presented by Golden Boy Promotions, Murphys Boxing and Eye of The Tiger Management.

 

"24/7 Canelo/GGG 2" premieres Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 11:30 pm (ET/PT) on HBO. Canelo's fifth "24/7" appearance and Golovkin's third, "24/7 CANELO/GGG 2" is the latest installment of the acclaimed franchise that began in 2007.

 

Limited tickets for Canelo vs. GGG 2 are still available, and are priced at $5,000, $2,500, $2,000, $1,500, $800, $700, and $500 not including applicable service charges and taxes.
